MOVIE SUMMARY:
Fourteen-year-old Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) ties together an aging You. S. marshal (Jeff Bridges) together with another lawman (Matt Damon) on tracking her dads killer into inhospitable Indian territory for Joel and Ethan Coen's edition of Charles Portis' first novel. Sticking more closely into the source material compared to 1969 feature edition starring Western image John Wayne, the Coens' Authentic Grit tells the story within the young girl's standpoint, and re-teams that celebrated filmmaking duo with the No Country meant for Old Men making partner Scott Rudin. Josh Brolin together with Barry Pepper co-star.
